La scheda adattatore seriale RS-232 PCI Express nativo a 4 porte con 16550 UART PEX4S553 consente di aggiungere 4 porte seriali RS-232 (DB9) utilizzando un singolo slot di espansione PCI Express.
Basata su un design a chip singolo nativo, questa scheda adattatore seriale a 4 porte permette di sfruttare le funzionalità complete offerte da PCI Express (PCIe) riducendo il carico sulla CPU fino al 48% rispetto alle schede seriali convenzionali a chip ponte.
La scheda adattatore seriale RS-232 comprende anche 4 staffe opzionali con profilo a mezza altezza/ridotto, con cui è possibile installare la scheda praticamente in qualsiasi computer indipendentemente dal fattore di forma.
